At 10% abv it’s dangerously easy drinking. Nice fruity mix of citrus, melon, stone fruits and an earthy taste. Delicious. Cheers!

 

Other Half Green Flowers WCIPA (Citra, Amarillo cryo, Idaho 7, Strata). Huge cannabis dankness, yellow grapefruit, navel orange, grapefruit and orange peel, lemongrass, underripe pineapple, floral, resinous pine. Super dank. This is righteous stuff. An outstanding WCIPA.

Cascadian Dark Lager, a kind of Black India Pale Lager, from Goldfinger. I like the idea, but I found the beer a little...minty? Interesting, anyway...

 

Happy Sunday.. at Blue Island Beer Company for a bottle share with the Mr.'s Beer group... Political Corruption- Amber Ale and 5 Bridges-German Pilsner..Cheers!

 

1) Badger State SKI-BRW (5.6%): A Czech Dark Lager from Wisconsin with nice earthy, nutty, floral flavors. Dry and clean.
versus
2) Phase Three P3 Czech Dark (5.3%): A Czech Dark Lager from Minnesota with flavors of cocoa, bittersweet chocolate, roast. Sweet. (Correctly matched the two beers blind)

Winner:
1) Badger State SKI-BRW: A Czech Dark Lager Battle. First is Badger State SKI-BRW. It's a very nice Czech dark from Wisconsin. I like this one.
Next is Phase Three. It's darker, more chocolate, and bittersweet. I think I like the flavors of Phase Three better, but not quite as to style as its a bit sweeter and roasted. Both are very enjoyable.

Well hello amigos. Thanx @Shanex for 4145. This lovely, calm, and unusually warm February day has been 100% lazy for me. Had lunch at 10 AM then took a nap with my cat Ding Ding atop "the legion of doom". What I'm driving at is that all of this fecking off has led up to a mighty and fierce beer thirst that has only one cure: Fair State Big Doinks Extra-Dank IPA. I truly wish this brewery all the best and do hope they don't struggle for long. Their beers are of high order. >> I still have quite a few beers to plow through before getting to my latest big 'ol haul and was busy inside BA yesterday. Cheers!

 

Other Half Juice Collector DIPA (Citra, Citra incognito, Chinook, Simcoe, Enigma, Sabro cryo). Passionfruit, clementine, orange sorbet, ruby red grapefruit, ripe mango, mango skin, earthiness, and pine resin. A nice bitterness to it. Dig it.
