Pretty impressed with this one.

 

Onto round 2, enjoying Hibernation from Great Divide. More Sirius.

 

Founders Mortal Bloom (6.2% canned 2/2/2024): A hazy IPA from Michigan with Citra, Moasic, Chinook, Cascade for flavors of passionfruit, tropical pineapple, OJ, and mango.


Overall: A pretty tame hazy IPA. Standard hops here, with a bit of classic C WC flavors without the bite. Citrus and tropical balance for standard flavors. @AdmiralOzone is right, it's not very memorable. I think the best think about this is the mouthfeel. Its well-carbonated, soft, smooth, and full. It's one I'd go for in the summer on a hot day, but nothing I'm going to go seeking out or buy again.

The Aldi lava cake stout is a winner. Tastes like an imperial Yuengling Hershey porter which obviously I thought was awesome.

Also, black ipas need to make a real comeback. Big Ditch does it again.
