All along I thought poor @LarryV was having to fight off all the ladies using anything at his disposal. He is not a young man anymore so I am sure he is getting weaker. The ladies will win.

Kros Strain Barrelywine Volume 9: Bourbon, Barleywine, 13% ABV. Pours dark brownish black (or blackish brown) with a half-finger of light-brown head that left no lacing. Aroma is bourbon, chocolate, fruit, and toffee. Taste is sweet bourbon, strong chocolate, grape, and a hint of toffee, quite sweet, slightly tart, faintly bitter. Excellent mouthfeel, sticky lips, overall world-class. More complex than I expected, and like the others, let it warm a bit.

Amazing, this is the fifth of the barrelywine series I've reviewed in the past three weeks, and all have been amazing. This one is second only to the VSOP/Cognac.

Master Shredder. An IPA brewed by Veil. Last of the four pack. Mike, you have said that at least three times the last month. Oh crap I have. Thing is now I can buy some Veil brews at my local bottle shop and the local seafood store. Anyway, got two four packs at Veil, a four pack at Corks & Kegs, and a four pack at Tuckahoe seafood.

Trying to convince the boss (wife) that I “need” some Tired Hands brews. I used to get a lot of them from BA folks. Some left the planet (e.g. @CanConPhilly ) and some just moved away to a foreign country (e.g. @TheIPAHunter ). Anyway, I am putting together a Dudley order.

 

Could not agree with you more on the smell of fresh cut and aged red oak.

 

OMG I love this label / name. The kids today will never understand!
