    Happy Wednesday BA.

    I have ran my errands for the day, now having a beer or two on the balcony with the dogs. Enjoying the rest of my day off.

    New one from Creature Comforts, Spring a Belgian style white ale.

    1) Giesenbrau Bier Co Hildy’s Helles (5.2%): A German Helles Lager from Minnesota with flavors of bread, yeast, lightly floral notes
    versus
    2) Utepils Helles (5.1%): A German Helles Lager from Minnesota with flavors of pale malts, smooth bread, earthy honey notes. Smooth. (Correctly matched the two beers blind)

    Winner:
    2) Utepils Helles:     German Helles Battle from Minnesota. First ig Giesenbrau. Great pour and aromas. A little bit yeasty on the flavor. Still comes together nicely.
    Next is Utepils Helles. Again great pour and aromas. The flavor is even better with smooth bread and earthy honey notes with hints of honeyflowers. Very smooth and flavorful without being sweet. One of my favorite Helles Lagers from the states. Utepils makes some great German beers.

    ...oops...PtE...corrected my post...was corresponding with @DoctorZombies about PtY...I know they bottled it a few years ago, but don't know if they've done it for this year...I know a keg made it's way to Colorado about a month ago...one of those beers I'd love to try but don't expect to experience it unless I'm at the brewery when it's released...
