    Well, at least there's a Giddings "brewhaus" - but seriously, there's good Mexican in town and Reba's isn't a bad place. Know that stretch pretty well, not sure what survived. Good luck, Dave, it's nice to enjoy some snow like this.... been about 20 years since the Springs had this much dump on the ground.

    If you do have another triple or two and feel ill tomorrow I would recommend olives. They will stop you from throwing up.

    ...thanks for the Giddings info...I think it was March of '98 the last time I saw so much snow here (and it sounds like November of '97 had slightly more snow - but I was TDY in the Saudi desert at that time)...but, March -- Mrs. BeerGoot and I had just met (in January) - some of here Widefield co-workers were worried because they hadn't heard from here during the storm - they contacted me (I was living along Fountain and Murray at the time), so said 'Sure, I'll check up on her"...hopped into the Gray Shark (a '91 Chevy Cavalier) and drove to the westside - when there was virtually no other traffic in the area...knocked on her door (she was already settled in with popcorn and a movie on the tube before she knew I was coming) and wound up spending a nice night with her...loved the Gray Shark...that car would go anywhere - a 4-speed stick shift (there's another story about off-road driving in the PA mountain valleys near Gettysburg during the winter in that car, but I'll save that one for another time)...

    So I had to try this one: Quadruple Jeopardy! Who is Washington?, a Quad aged in Tom Cat Gin barrels and conditioned on cherries. While not for everyday drinking, it’s an imaginative recipe and fun to drink. Heading home now to watch the Tar Heels play Pitt. Cheers!
