This has probably been on the LS shelf a while. Strange cardboard smell, yet flavor is roasty and dry with a cherry jolly rancher finish that never materializes.

All the Irish girls I knew wore jeans under skirts. Must be some weird mtv anomaly. It's americana and what not.

Comparing the new Light Weight Dwarf against his older 8%abv brother.

The 4%abv lite, pours a bit a bit paler colour. I am fearing it will be a water added version:

Yes, it has the typical LaChouffe taste, only more watery.
Have to drink all 8 lite ones (second 4 pack was half price) - good I started drinking early.
But I strongly recommend just savouring just 4 normal ones, instead.

Cooking up some corned beef for St Patrick's Day. Could I be any more cliché?

Why yes; yes, I can. My coffee breakfast beer of choice today.

I'll be joining in a bit later with some beer, but right now I'm trying to decide whether I want to blow two hours watching that action-packed modern retelling of one of the St. Patrick legends while I surf the BA virtual bar. A gold star to anyone who can guess which movie. I'll drop some more hints with my beer postings.

Light gold color with moderate white cap that doesn't hang around.

Aroma of mild grain and lightly spicy hops. A little more hop than grain but a balance is there.

I get some varied flavors that weave together like strands of a rope. Grain not as prominent as in the nose and is overtaken by ripe fruit notes such as pear, apple and even a touch of peach. Everything works together from start to finish with a mildly citrus like aftertaste.

    Light texture with balancing carbonation.

Overall I find it Belgian-esque, I can pick up some charicteristics of the Belgian style and probably would've said that even if the brewer had chosen a different name. Even though it weighs in at 6.1% and is brewed with Belgian candy sugar it really strikes me as a table style brew.

Good attempt. The one I'm thinking about is a bit more obscure in the connection. Think about the legends of St. Patrick, not his life in general.
