Not sure I got the name of the beer correct. Cloudwater DIPA V17. From the V series. A collaboration between Veil and Cloudwater brewing (UK).

    Interesting brew.

Then some new beers for me from Equal Parts...

Snaker Pale Ale, at 5% ABV

Pours a copper/orange color. A small white head forms and recedes. Very little lace is lace is left behind.
Aroma is citrus and pine up front. Classic west coast hops, though not much more to note. Which is far from a bad thing, just very simple.
Taste wise, that citrus and pine up front again. There is a bitterness, but as soon as that shows itself, a toasted malt, grain, and cooked corn character lingers on.
A medium body with moderate carbonation. Finishes dry, but could be more crisp and cleaner. Not hard to drink, but can't say I'm looking for another pint.

I always enjoy more balance, but the lingering toasted, grain, even light corn flavor has thrown me off a bit. Not bad at all, but not among my preferred Pale Ales, let alone offerings from Equal Parts.

    Overall score is 3.56

    And then the...

Let's Fighting Love IPA, 6.7% ABV

Pours a clear golden/orange color. A one finger white head forms with good retention and lace left behind.
Up front in the nose, the hops are there, but seems a bit muted and faded. Light herbal, lemon and citrus aromas. Which are nice, just wish it was a bit more prominent.
Taste wise, That herbal, spicy, hoppy intensity is better flavor wise. Citrus, pine and bitterness lingering. Simple, but enjoyable.
A medium body with effervescent/crisp carbonation. Finishes dry and clean. A nice IPA to drink at the brewery.

Hoppy, simple, clean, and enjoyable is the name of the game. You don't need much more than that. If the aromatics where a bit more noticeable, that would bring this up a notch. As is, just a solid IPA anyway.

    Overall score is 3.73

New Belgium 1985 Mango IPA (6.7%):
A hazy IPA from Colorado with flavors of tropical pineapple, papaya, mango, and peach. Smooth.

Pretty decent IPA from New Belgium here. Nothing too crazy. Tropical mango and peach flavors. Pretty smooth and enjoyable.

It’s no Josh Fields for Yordan Alvarez. But… Also, the Dodgers were set to trade Ross Stripling, Joc Pederson, and Cuban prospect Andy Pages to the Angels for a pittance. Arte being Arte, he pulled out of the deal at the last minute. Mark rauls word: Andy Pages will provide some thump

    More Half Acre? What?
    Beer Hates Astronauts!
Somewhere in the gray zone between an IPA and a DIPA at 7.8% of pure Citra goodness.
