    Since no-one else has started this thread I guess I'd better do it!

    Happy Friday BA! Another week in the bag and there's no better reason for a beer than that. Tonight's beer was Irish Nitro Stout from Noodledoof Brewing, located in the small western Victorian town of Koroit, about 2.5 hours west of me.

    The beer was pillow-soft just like, as Paul Hogan once said, angels crying on your tongue. It was so good that I knocked it over in big glugs rather than my usual delicate, pinkie-extended sipping fashion.

    Anyway, enjoy your Friday, and enjoy your beer!

    Houblon Chouffe, one of the finest Belgian IPA, but Hopus is really good too, last time I could find it was in Brussels in January while sitting on a terrace by -3c in the evening. Fearless frenchie.

    Bottled 2/8/24. Poured at 51°. Bourbon and coffee. Yum!

    Crosstown Brewing Squonkey American Lager

    Taste on entry is rich malt with a touch of caramel. Not exactly sweet but so rich as to suggest sweetness. It's a mouthful. Floral hops are just enough to spice things up a bit.

    Brewer describes this as a Hoppy Lager and that's not far off. These are not sharply bitter hops, rather a gentle sort that make their presence known without being intrusive. Let's just say this beer has character and a likable personality.
