Out for a late breakfast, the wife is treating me!

Mesmerist by Siren, had it on cask before, draught this time though. Cask was definitely better.

 

This one I have had before, but still needs to be reviewed. Darn @AzfromOz already got New Beer Weekend going, thank you for kicking that off early, got some brews for that also.

Poured into a 16 oz Nordic pint glass, canned on 3/25/24. Pours a very attractive hazy yellow orange, with a half finger sticky white head that leaves thin streaks of lace, with solid retention. 4.5

Aroma is big tangerine, passionfruit, papaya, peach, and apricot. 4.5

Taste follows tangerine explodes immediately, papaya, passionfruit, peach, pineapple, and apricot. 4.5

Mouthferl is above average, soft gentle carbonation, not sticky or dry, and at 7.3% massive flavor, but easy going down. 4.75

Overall this is a very nice spin on Pulpy. Absolutely worth a try. 4.5

Straight to Ale Blonde Hurlante
Belgian Pale Strong Ale 9.9% ABV



Light golden color with medium white cap and lacing.

Aroma of strong malt and light hops. A touch of white spice and ripe pear.

Taste on entry is richly malty with an undercurrent of ripe pear and just enough spice to be noticed. Full bodied and full textured yet not heavy or overly sweet. At 9.9% no one would mistake this for a middleweight but it's not overpowering in any sense. Rather like a large man who can dance gracefully.

I've only found this one near the source but I's worth seeking out.

El Catador Club Modern Prometheus from @DoctorZombies in proper Cigar City glassware, also thanks to the good Doctor.

I can't find the abv listed on the bottle, but UT has it at 14.2%. A blend of imperial stouts aged in maple bourbon, apple jack bourbon, and bourbon barrels.
Added to the database and working up a review.

I couldn't find this around the holidays. Now one of my beer stores has it on clearance. Can date 9-29-23. Not the freshest, but at $9.99 a 12 pack who am I to complain? It's still good.
