    1) Toppling Goliath Cosmic Archer (7.8% canned 3/20/24): A NEIPA from Iowa with Mosaic, Nelson Sauvin & Citra for flavors of orange citrus and pineapple zest, white grape, berries, and lychee. Zesty and clean.
    versus
Toppling Goliath Broccoli Special Reserve (8.3% canned 1/23/24): A NEIPA from Iowa with Citra, Mosaic, Simcoe, Blanc for flavors of mango, sweet orange, pineapple, and lychee. (Mismatched the two beers blind)

    Toppling Goliath IPA Battle.
Happy Sunday BeerAdvocates. Today is a fun IPA Battle. First is Cosmic Archer. A new release with a good looking hop profile. Citra, Mosaic, with some Nelson. Comes out banging with orange citrus, guava, lychee, white grape notes from the Nelson. Balanced, flavorful. Zesty and flavorful. Right in line with Toppling Goliath.
Next is Broccoli Special Reserve, the next recent release from Toppling Goliath. Very similar. Slightly larger at 8.3%. The aromas are more subdued, but the flavor is there. Similar, but slightly more tropical berry and green grape notes. Similar, but two months older so doesn't have that hop bite anymore.
Winner: Cosmic Archer. Sure there's probably some freshness bias. Both have great flavors and I couldn't tell them apart blind. I think Cosmic Archer definitely is more aromatic. The flavors blend nicely and hard to imagine are better hop combination. Plus it's a new beer from them rather than a repeat. I enjoy trying the new stuff from some of the best breweries like this. You never know when you'll stumble on one that could be one of their best. Both of these could arguably be up there. Although it would have to beat Fire, Skulls, & Money, which I think is their best. Great innovation, creativity and IPA production from Toppling Goliath.

Gassed up the RV (ouch!) and now drinking at another new to me brewery - Warped Wing Brewing…sampling a flight:

    From L to R:
Radio Vision NEIPA; Omega Haze Tangerine IPA; Gamma Bomb IPA; Baltic Porter BA Rye Whiskey (2024).

The IPAs are good. I’d gladly drink all again. The imperial porter is outstanding - I’ll get some bottles to go and share with my beer pals back in Florida.

Next stop is the local campground and set up for the night. Cheers from Mason, OH!

Golden color with good white cap, intense aroma of Tropical hops and sweet malt.

When first opening the can the air is filled with a rich hop aroma that just screams something good is on the way. Malt is strong but hops are large and in charge. I do find a tropical influence, mango, pineapple, that sort of thing with the hops, and the malt and hops are well matched.

Outsize flavor completely covers up the 9.5%, not a hint of alcohol, just a lot of malt/hop goodness.

Alaskan wildness. Overall good hoppy blonde. Aromas and flavors of lemon, orange, melon, wood, peppercorn, pine, cracker, bread, pear, apple, herbal, floral, grass, yeast earthiness. A bit of a musky wet dog nose(dirty lines?). Medium pine rind woody bitter finish. Medium carb and body, fairly crisp clean refreshing finish. balanced bready grainy malt and sticky resinous hop mouthfeel. Lingering resin dryness and minimal hop astringency. Balanced clean malt and noble hop flavors. Good style example. 3.58/5
