You should teach him to drive a manual transmission if he doesn't already know how. Either way happy birthday to the young man.

I think I'm done with new beers for the weekend. Time for an old favorite.

Oh man, if there's one thing she's not a pain in the ass about, and there may be 1 or 2 more, it's hauling beer for me. She upgraded to larger suitcase this trip for winter clothes and to "hold some of your beer"....cheers!!

After a couple of new beers it's good to have an old favorite. Mag hasn't released it for a couple of years. It's brewed with local wildflower honey. Very good! Cheers!

Went to Holler Brewing for the first time in forever. This use to be my go to spot, but since the original owners sold to another group, it has not been the same...to say the least IMO. Though I ran into a friend the other day that still works here, and has been working there since damn near the beginning. So, I wanted to stop by and say hi, and maybe see if I like their beers they way I use to...

Anyway...Dollar Pils in the glass. Which is fine, way sweeter than it use to be, but oh well. Which has been the problem for a lot of beers, there is a big residual sweetness in a lot of them now. Tried their Mild which was a favorite of mine, it is just sweet...then the only other new beer was just the Mild with vanilla and coconut added...so ya that is not for me ha.

OK, Dollar Pils was decent, great catching up with my old friend. I wish I liked the beers as much as I use to, but I just don't.

Stopped off at Good Dog on the way home...

As always, a really good dog  With an Alstadt Brewing Amber Altbier. Always a good combination.

Setting up at the campground and drinking a “Galaxy Banger” IPA that I picked up (and glass) at the brewery, Savage Ale Works on Friday in Columbia, SC:

Tasty peaches, lemon , tropical fruit and melon. I really like this easy drinking HazyLite!

Next up, assembling my fire. It’s sunny and a windy 60° now…I’m looking forward to building a blaze - Cheers Advocates!

Thanks man. Don't tell anyone but sadly, I never learned to drive a manual. So if you'd like to come down...I could pay you with some beers. Cheers!

I hear ya. We've been doing a Thanksgiving trip to Mass the last couple years and we're always figuring out a way to fit all the beers and kids in the car. I must be doing OK because Mrs DavetotheB hasn't beat me senseless over it yet. Cheers and enjoy the time up there.
