What beer are you drinking now? #4197

Didn't see the post when you asked me what I thought of the Obolon Svitle until the forum was closed. I liked it just fine. PBR drinking wife was okay with it too.

Lunch beer…drinking on the side porch this fine afternoon…Torpedo:



Cloudy with grey threatening rain clouds. It’s 72° with a great constant breeze. Maybe some rain this afternoon. Lovely outside beer drinking weather here in SW WV. Cheers y’all!

In tribute to @nicholas2121 I’m drinking AB Natural Light, always a good choice. I haven’t had one of these since the late seventies. It’s 4.2 ABV and under 100 calories per 12oz. Tastes way better than Bud Light



Played a different version of this song yesterday

 

1) Weihenstephaner Original Premiium (5.1%): A German Helles with flavors of pale Munich malts, bread, and yeast. Full and smooth.
versus
2) Tucher Brau Helles (5.2%): A German Helles with flavors of earthy Munich malts, smooth bread, some honey notes. Smooth. (Correctly matched the two beers blind)

Winner:
2) Tucher Brau Helles: German Helles Battle. First is Weihenstephaner, ranked #11 on BeerAdvocate. It's one of my all-time favorites. Rich bread, yeasty, and drinks full, yet clean. Next is Tucher Brau, ranked #63 on BeerAdvocate. Haven't had this one as much. It has a deeper Munich malt flavor, almost approaching a festbier level, but then tames down off the end for a smooth, but clean finish. The flavors here are wonderfull and rich. Weihenstephaner has bit more full mouthfeel and yeast, but Tucher has an unmistakable rich flavor profile.

 

"Bologna and a beer." G&R Tavern, Waldo, Ohio. A half-inch slice of bologna on a bun, with onion, pickles, and cheese, a side of fried pickles, and a Yuengling Traditional Lager. Straight outta the bottle. Cheers!

Done working for the day - trying a sour brew - Just Ripe Cherry, Blueberry, and Blackberry. It is indeed sour ! But I will say, it's pretty tasty. From Untold Brewing in Scituate MA.
