    This sweet, strong dark American ale was a great compliment to the bacon-smoky and tender-sweet scallops (more pics).

    I honestly wasn't going to drink anymore before work (in four hours), but I just watched Liverpool utterly destroy a rival 5-0 away from home in one of the best attacking displays I've seen since I've been following them, so.... Time to celebrate a bit. Time to load up on eggs and bread.

    Not actually loving the '13 as much as previous years. Roastiness isn't really in balance with the sweetness, and the malt seems a bit lost. Still good, but probably won't hoard it for my cellar as in years past.
