    Good Afternoon Advocates!

Friday thread looks off to a good start! I'm drinking a misc hodgepodge out of the fridge today to make way for some much-needed healthy groceries haha.

    Starting with this tasty NEDIPA...

At $18/30pk, it's the best thing going imho, at least down that aisle of the beer store. A couple things I like to say about Hamms: "It's beer that tastes like beer" and "Hamms is the beer you have when you want to drink a beer, not form a relationship with it." One day I'll get that marketing job with Hamms, Inc.

It does get a lot of love round these parts. Sorry you can't get it where you are. YMMV and all those other disclaimers. Cheers!

@Qu3st , so sorry to hear about your loss. The fur babies have that special way of giving unconditional love that is dearly missed when no longer there.
@ATL6245 Congratulations on your 500th review, and many more!

Happy long Memorial Day weekend with a nod and toast towards those who have sacrificed on behalf of the USA. With round 1 today am enjoying a milk stout from Boss Rambler in Bend, OR courtesy of @muchloveforhops3 , thanks Doug! This has a nice roasty malt base with a deft touch of adjuncts that actually play well.
    Cheers!

I’m starting the holiday off in style at Autodidact Beer with a favorite: Dark Horse, a Black IPA. I’m glad this brew is part of Auto’s regular rotation. Cheers to this meaningful, long weekend, BAs!

Mattern Deli in Orange. It was once a beautiful scene, but the original owners (all German) have since retired. Still, the Hunter in my hometown? Let’s go.

I will add it to my "whale" list.:+1: Years ago one of our neighbourhood home brews bore the label "Do things you can't remember, with the taste you can't forget."

Quiet as kept, I had a crush on a girl named Mattern in my teenage years. That was her last name. Blonde hair, blue eyes, and a really good point guard.

My palate was not loving the hazy today. Dubious start.

Tasty summer crusher on this windy day.

3.74/5 rDev 0% look: 4 | smell: 3.75 | taste: 3.75 | feel: 3.5 | overall: 3.75 On tap at the brewery Purple pouring beer that is quite murky looking. The head is slightly off white in color. The aroma has a hint of blueberry on it, as expected. Light, subtle, slightly sweet smelling. Taste- the flavor is blueberry, but subtle. The blueberry is not overpowering or over the top. Slight sweetness to it and a faint tartness. There's a faint grain hint to this beer as well. Light, refreshing, crisp and bubbly body. This beer hits the target as a summer crusher.
