    Hey hey Advocates!

What a frikken day! I won't bore y'all with the sordid race details, but suffice to say the wind and cold were perhaps more challenging than the climb. What an epic bluebird day in the Presidential Range though. So much awesomeness of people and experiences!

I'm finally settling in at home, but still wired, so figured why not chill with a beverage. The gal I hooked up with for (her dad) support driver and I... did share a Schilling Czech Lager on the way down the mountain. That was one very special beer!

Why not have a tallboy even tho it's neither Thurs nor Tues?!

The swag at this race is always top shelf. Awesome that I ran in orange today, and this year's warm fuzzy summit blankets are the exact same orange haha!

I'll save the shirt pic for next post.

Prolly my new fave out of several dozen race shirts in the collection.

@runbirddrinkbeer I sure hope if you get to this bucket list item you're treated to clear weather.

@Ocalafox Dude, hats off to the crazy effers that bike up that sucker. I'm perfectly happy sticking with running. That's insane.

    Cheers Folks!

If it doesn't start up in time, you could swing by their office on the way to see your kid in Madison, Wisconsin, from the airport, in a couple weeks.

Fidens Eugene's Axe DIPA. Not as mind-blowing as the DDH version, but still better than 90% of the NEIPAs out there. Cheers!

Today felt like the first “real” day of summer - so nice we took the boat out for a couple of hours this afternoon, which Ranger, Joy, and I love - so this iconic beer that is literally brewed as a summer beer seemed like a perfect choice.

Check! The citrus is great, but it’s my humble opinion that it’s the wheat malt that makes this beer. So smooth, flavorful, and refreshing. Absolutely love it.

Interestingly, this Firestone XPA is quite similar to the #41 Hoops Champagne IPA I had before. I wasn't expecting that at all. Very cool! Hey @defunksta try these two as a side by side if ya get a chance. Very tasty & similar. <> It's been raining hard here non-stop for 5.5 hrs. Cheers BAs!

Half Acre Daisy Cutter Fifteen (5.2% canned 5/15/2024): An American Pale Ale from Chicago with Riwaka, Nectaron, and Strata for flavors of vinous grapefruit, pineapple, mango, and peach.

A new release from Half Acre with New Zealand hops added to their original Daisy Cutter. Lots of New Zealand flavors here. Grapefruit, peach, vinous notes and mango. Captures the Nectaron and Strata well. Excellent mouthfeel and clean finish.
I have never been a fan of Daisy Cutter with the more traditional hop flavors. I think the New Zealand addition to this one is showcased wonderfully and a major improvement on the original Daisy Cutter. This rendition of Daisy Cutter would make me pick up another and sort of changes my views on Half Acre a bit. I'm excited to try the Select version next.
