    Today is Midsummer's Eve, maybe THE most important holiday in Sweden. Holidays in Sweden means drinking, and drinking hard. Mostly at elaborate parties with dancing and other shenanigans. I, being an anti social recluse will just stick with music and beer at home. Starting with a fantastic lager by one of my favorite breweries, Schönram.

    Singha Lager. First dive was a bust due to rental equipment issues. The next 2 were great.

    I have a ton of lager in my fridges, so here goes another one, from one of the steadiest breweries in Sweden, Svartbergets.

    Pours a good golden color with decent white cap.

    Aroma of sweet malt and herbal, piney hops.

    My first taste impressions are hops with a prominent pine note. Sweet malt follows in a supporting role but hops stay on top. There is a surprising slight woodsy undertaste that's actually pleasant.

    Medium full texture with balancing carbonation.

    No surprises here, it is an IPA and hops are abundant, yet this one is a bit of a standout and a cut above average.

    G'day all!

    This is a weird beer. Almost headless, very nice complex nose of fruit, figs, light chocolate. The taste dropped the ball for me.
