    1) Hop Butcher Soapboxer (6.0% canned 4/22/24):
A NEPA from Chicago with Citra, Mosaic, Simcoe, & Nelson for flavors of grapefruit, melon, stonefruit, and mango.
    versus
    2) Fair State The 400 Club (6.5% canned 4/29/24): A NEIPA from Minnesota with Nectaron and Mosaic for flavors of peaches, wine grapes, passionfruit, and mango. Crisp and lightly bitter. (Correctly matched the two beers blind)

    Winner:
    2) Fair State The 400 Club:
Hop Butcher Battle/Fair State Battle. First is Hop Butcher Soapboxer. Nice combo of Citra, Mosaic, Simcoe, and Nelson. Great tropical Mosaic with some Simcoe stonefruit, balanced by some sweet grape from the Nelson.
Next is Fair State The 400 Club. A collab with Hop Butcher with Mosaic and Nectaron. Simliar, but a little more citrus, pineapple, and passionfruit from the Nectaron.
Both of these are excellent. Digging the crispness and light bitterness of The 400 Club right now.

What a fantastic day at Matunuck and the Ocean Mist. Sunny and beautiful until we got home and its a severe thunderstorm watch. Perfect. Do yourself a favor and if you're ever in RI visit the Oceanmist. It's been nominated as one of the top beach bars in the country and is prob my favorite place in RI. I always meet someone new and you can walk the beach with your beer and have lunch. And the menu being huge with breakfast until 2 is actually pretty damn good. Had steamed clams in salsa Verde and a crab and avocado quesadilla which exceeded my expectations which as you might expect are outlandishly ridiculous....just kidding. Kind of. My last one.[IMG]

Enjoyed this beer so much last weekend I picked-up more. Need some hydration badly, been working in the yard in this humidity and had to change my shirt twice because it was soaked. Time to chill and drink some beer! Cheers, all!

No disrespect intended: I think Squire might be channeling @scream judging by his fondness for the Voodoo Ranger line, no?

Truth be told, I left work early today after getting tired of being ignored. Went to Mortalis and had a 5 oz pour of regular Leto. No pic, but tasty thick almond cookie meets cacao nibs.

Half Acre Daisy Cutter Select (8.0% canned 5/23/2024):
A WCIPA from Chicago in collaboration with Sierra Nevada for flavors of ripe orange flesh, tangerine, papaya, and sweet pine resin.

A trending beer and enough hype behind this, pretty much had to review it. High hopes. Not a fan of the original Daisy Cutter, but if it has Sierra Nevada influence I'm on board. I'm sort of expecting something like Torpedo here.
Fantastic pour. The aromas are milder. The flavors are stronger than the aroma, but relatively milder as well. Lots of fresh oranges, tangerine, papaya with some hints of sweet pine resin. Surprisingly minimal bitterness though.

I've found collabs can be hit or miss. Sometimes seem like a marketing ploy. The drinkability is here incredible, but surprisingly low bitterness or Sierra Nevada flavors here. Honestly, The 400 Club from Fair State and Hop Butcher earlier had more bitterness than this. I didn't find this terribly remarkable or memorable.

I don't get offended very easily but at 96 degrees and high humidity this combo should pretty much take care of things.

The humidity has been unbearable here, too. Simple walks outside yield a three pound water weight loss.

Upon reflection, I am now CERTAIN that when it is this hot, Satan collects the sweat of the poor suffering souls so that he can use it to create the abominations that are Satan’s piss…yellow beers of the world! Repent now by imbibing a hearty stout, oh heathens of BA!

A visit to Southern Yankee Crafthouse. No longer part of a brewery, just a beer bar. Paramount Pils is first up (now made by Elder Son's, if that isn't confusing ha).

Food is still awesome here...seafood pasta is excellent. With a Great Heights Enchantment Under The C, great old school DIPA.
