Happy Saturday BA's! I'm enjoying a Narwhal while doing chores indoors and watching stage 14 of the TDF. It's a real banger of a stage with mountain climbs over the Tourmalet and Saint-Lary-Soulan Pla d'Adet, both HC beyond category climbs. It should be a classic battle between Jonas and Tadej.

Good day BAs! Thanks @Dethark for starting us up! I'll join with a Brit beer also:

It's been over a decade since I've visited the brewery at Tadcaster or had this brew - still more impressed with the stone tanks than any organic beer.

    Rating 3.42, rDev -11.6%

...thanks Larry (and @Larry)...think I'll pop open some beers later today and ponder the mysteries of rib cooking (and perhaps have some left over ribs for lunch -- pairs nicely with beer, don't you think...???)...

...I love how many of us beer swillers also have other talents such as cooking, musicianship, writing, drawing, photography, etc., etc....

Are the stone tanks cut from one piece of stone? Otherwise how are the tanks built?

    Good morning.
This is a beer I drank for the first time, being a one shot from this agricultural brewery located in the Veneto region (northeast Italy).

Crak Brewery (Campodarsego, ITA) - PREPARTITA - Pale Ale (4,8%)

40 cl can (€5 from the beer shop fridge).
4.8% Pale Ale, with experimental hops grown from Veneto Mr Hops, Simcoe, Azacca, El Dorado and Rakau.
On the bottom of the can: "Packaging date: 05/05/2024 - Best before: 05/12/2024".
Freshly uncorked aromas of ripe lumps and summer and tropical fruit, which amplify when poured.
Orange-yellow colour, very opaque/nebulous. Minimal and inconsistent foam.
Very tasty and tasty beer in the mouth: citrus fruits (orange peel, grapefruit, cedar) followed by tropical and summer aftertastes (melon, white peach, pineapple, a hint of coconut).
Dry finish, not bitter which leaves ample space for the fruit salad flavor (over which the citrus prevails however) on the palate.
This haziness that appears to the eye does not translate into a sensation of silkiness, in fact the extreme fruitiness leads to a dry but noticeable bitterness, without that sensation of filtering which then ends up to the detriment of the bitterness itself.
Very fragrant and tasty, but it lacks the right level of lively carbonation that would have facilitated the drinkability of a product so "dense" with flavour.
In fact, even though it is defined as a Pale Ale, I would struggle to find the difference with a Session IPA.
You can feel that it is a quality product, as well as the freshness, but it is a bit "too much" to be defined as a Pale Ale and a more lively carbonation would have helped. It doesn't feel like drinking a 4.8% Pale Ale.
