Good day BAs - off to a foggy start. Today's New Breakfast Beer is one I first (and last) had in 2010:

Not a favorite style but it came in a variety pack so...

Final Impression and summation: 3.5 Distinctly one you could sip all day – not particularly exciting, in the proud tradition of British bitters. But at $3/bottle, definitely value.

    Happy Sunday.
This is a beer that I drank for the first time several years ago but which has an incredible consistency and which, even though I know it well, I always find very pleasant to drink on tap or in a can.
The Brewermaster, Marco Valeriani, says it's inspired by the first generation New England style IPAs and is produced with only barley malt (Pils and Cara) and without the use of other cereals, very soft water rich in chlorides, Citra and Mosaic hops used in all stages of production and with the use of a typically Anglo-Saxon yeast strain.

Alder Beer Co. (Seregno, ITA) - ROCKFIELD - American IPA (6,8%).

44 cl can (€7 from the beershop fridge).
On the label: "Lot: L095F - Packaging date: 08/05/2024 - Best before: 08/10/2024".
Poured it is a beautiful intense golden colour, very clean ("lagerized") only slightly cloudy but almost completely transparent.
Citrus and herbaceous aromas. Abundant and medium-consistency foam.
In the mouth, a medium-bodied beer supported by adequate carbonation. Fragrant, but not invasive, flavours of citrus (grapefruit, orange peel) that flow into more herbaceous and woody hints (cut grass, chicory) that end with an initially pungent bitterness but that vanishes quite quickly leaving an aftertaste of summer fruit (I smell above all: white peach and summer plum).
"Straight" drinking with defined and well-balanced flavours that lead to an "old-fashioned" finish, with a well-perceptible bitterness and a light fruity nuance on the palate to dampen those citrus and hop hints in bitterness that characterize the first part of drinking.
I always like to drink it. Obviously, the fresher a product like this is, the better it performs. In my opinion, we are at the highest level as far as Italian hoppy beer styles are concerned. Another pearl in addition to the beers (rightly) always present in the line such as the TEPPINAKI - American IPA 6.3% and the MORRO BAY - West Coast Double IPA 7.5%.

    G'day all!

I uploaded the same pic using 2 different platforms. Just to see if I can detect any differences.

4th Anniversary beer from Mountain Hops Brewhouse. 12% Belgian Golden Strong Ale. Quite the tasty bugger.

    Prost!

Full New Beer Sunday #1012 link, review linked above. Bottom line, this was too sweet and mirrored aspects of AALs I don't enjoy.
