Heady Topper as great as it alway is. I went to the store to get a 6er of and saw a 4 pack of Heady Topper behind the next door . It is very rare to see Heady in a retail store in NJ so I got it also. Pricy at $23:00 but worth it. Very fresh too canned on 06/24/24.

 

This beer has my vote! Cheers!

 

1) Barrel Theory TV Trays (6.8%): A West-Coast IPA from Minneosta with flavors of pineapple, melon, tropical orange. Sweet.
versus
2) Pizza Port Swami’s (6.8%): A West-Coast IPA from California with flavors of grapefruit, orange marmalade, apricot, and pine. Clean and bitter. (Correctly matched the two beers blind)

Winner: Pizza Port Swami's
West Coast IPA Battle. First is Barrel Theory TV Trays. They make some great haze and I've noticed sometimes those hazy influences some breweries over into west-coast styles. Meaning this one is still pretty juicy/hazy. Moderately bitter.
Second visit at Pizza Port Swami's. Very clean and drinkable. Nice bitterness. Very enjoyable. This could become an alternative for Stone IPA when on a California beer haul, which is becoming slimmer on the shelves even on the west-coast.
