Good Sunday afternoon, everyone. I'm starting my NBS session with Cooper's Landing, an American IPA from Bur Oak Brewing Co. in Columbia, MO. It's a malty, bitter IPA of the "southeastern" variety. While I like it, I suspect it would be a lot better when fresh. Unfortunately, these cans aren't dated which is a pet peeve of mine. Cheers!

 

Nice! I love the “road authenticity” of the whole album. In one of the songs you can hear the tour bus they were recording on downshifting

 

Noon Whistle - Bruski

 

One could not have better stated the "taste profile" for this beer.

I am not surprised you are having another, as I too have once bought a 6'er of this beer and it had to be dealt with; in one way or another.

 

Honeycomb Big, Yea Yea Yea, experimental Honey Strong Ale


Tons of honey here, 30lbs/barrel, and maybe too fruity, but for 10% there's no booze. Dangerous.


"Big Matilda" visits the honeycomb hideout.

 

Very good Lager. Not colorful, but practical. I haven't bought bay leaf in years. And some free baseball in Chicago.

Second album I ever purchased. Great songs across the board

 

A friend stopped over with a sixer of this and ended up leaving some in my fridge. From a decent Minnesota brewery. I myself would have a hard time spending craft beer money on this one, but I didn't so here we go.

 

Big shout out to @GreenBayBA for organizing and orchestrating an amazing BA bottle share at 3 Sheeps yesterday. Got to visit with some great old friends and had a chance to meet some wonderful new BAs in person. Not to mention partaking in an endless flow of World Class beers. Sorry I could not stay long and missed some folks, look forward to an even bigger turnout in 2025! Now home kicking back and winding down the weekend with Dun Dun Dun, an aptly named Double IPA from The Butch, with Amarillo, Citra, & Galaxy. Special thanks to @ChicagoJ for this one.
