Windmill Hart's Bier American Lager. These guys closed down a few weeks ago, but they sold the last of the beers they were producing this past weekend out of the brewery. This is the final batch of their flagship lager. Ritz cracker, corn, earthy hop, grass. Crisp, clean, dry, and refreshing. I hope the brewers find their way to another brewery because they certainly knew what they were doing across all styles.

1) Maplewood Citra Juice Pants (7.0% canned 5/29/24): A NEIPA from Chicago with Citra with flavors of orange, pineapple, mango, peach cream. Smooth and creamy.
versus
2) Barrel Theory Rain Drops (7.5% canned 5/6/24): A NEIPA from Minnesota with Citra and Mosaic for flavors of orange, OJ, stonefruit, pineapple, and berries. Clean. (Correctly matched the two beers blind)

Winner: Maplewood Citra Juice Pants
Maplewood vs Barrel Theory IPA Battle. First is Maplewood Citra Juice Pants. Smooth orange, mango, peach cream. Smooth and mildly sweet.
Next is Barrel Theory Rain Drops. Citra and Mosaic. Nice balance. Cleaner and milder than expected. Rated as World-Class, but I don't know that I'd go that far.
Haven't reviewed much Maplewood especially their IPAs, but picked some up on the way to the Sheboygan festivities this past weekend. Glad I did. This is an outstanding IPA.

 

My practice golf balls have more flavor than this head-cooling "beer". Must get rid of.

Enjoying a 19.2ozer of Victory Sour Monkey after a day at Root's Farmers market.
My thirst was in need of quenching, and my nerves needed settling.
People are stupid!
I hate crowds and people who either don't look where the Hell they're walking or just stop randomly mid stride while you're behind them.
If it wasn't for my wife, I would rarely leave the house.
Why bother when everything can be delivered to me, sitting in a comfortable chair in the air conditioning?
I'm definitely not a people person, especially crowds.
No wonder I don't have any friends.

Gnosis Ticking Away IPA (HBC 1019, Simcoe, Citra). Orange sherbet, passionfruit, yellow grapefruit, cara cara orange, some ripe mango, mango skin, rose water, slight lime, spruce. Gets better with each can I open. Outstanding.

That’s a very good brew: I went down to the City Tobacoo, Vape, and Beverage Center on route US1 bypass and picked up a four. I’m on a “No Regrets” tour of NH, unfortunately my Wife’s on a “No Regrets” tour of Kittery Outlets! Cheers!
