What beer are you drinking now? #4305

Tired Hands DDH TECHNICOLOR SPLENDOR DDH Simcoe and Spelt morning all.

Poured into a 16 oz Snulip glass canned on 7/1/24. Pours a very attractive hazy yellow orange with a 2 finger sticky white head that leaves thin streak of lace with excellent retention. 4.5

Aroma is peach, mandarin, white grape, apricot, and some white grapefruit rind. 4.25

Taste follows peach, mandarin, white grape, and a little hit of bitter grapefruit in the bold lingering finish. 4.25

Mouthfeel is above average, maybe a tad sticky, soft gentle carbonation, and not sure of the ABV the can doesn’t say. Thinking about 8.2%, but it has bigger flavor with a soft body. 4.5

Overall this was nice. Simcoe is not for everyone and not sure what Spelt it, but a nice brew. 4.25 Cheers all.

 

I made it through this 4 pack. Tone back the coconut please.

Well. Having a brew I have not had since the 8th of July, 2006 - didn't care for it then.



Definitely one that needs to warm up a bit before sucking down.

Final Impression and summation: 3.5 Toward the end, as it warms, some clove becomes evident.
Rating 3.26, rDev -21.1%

 

Apple juice for breakfast is eye opening.

 

Trying something new, unfiltered french blonde, Gallia.
Good lazing, smells like a bit pilsner like, nice sweet bitterness, some strange tanginess in after taste.

I'm ready for another semi scorcher but I will probably pick up another brew or 2.

This DIPA is almost reminiscent of a West Coast IPA, only a tad stronger at 8.2%abv. I must say that it is hidden well. Best by September 26th so maybe that's why I made that remark?

Pretty productive day so far. Got to the gym early then a three mile run. Laundry is going. Cut up some veggies for some skewers I'm making later at my dad's. Meat is already marinating from last night. Figure it's as good a time as any for a beer. Fair Acre, an amber lager from Burlington Beer Co. Cheers!

I am in holidays in south east Belgium, close to the French border. Crossed borders today to buy some french produce in a hypermarche.

Beer was totally unknown to me, and never seen in Holland.

I enjoyed it, it is good, will not be in my top 5, but maybe top 10 in this style. I will do a rating on my second bottle.
