Three Roads Three on the Tree Belgian tripel

 

Good day, all! This is an Iowa brew: Anchors Aweigh Imperial Stout with Coconut from Lake Time, Clear Lake, IA. This ain't doin' it for me. No coconut, heavy on char and booziness, and it has an oily mouthfeel. This sample is kind of old, but it has too many odd things going on to make me believe that's the reason. See you later with a better one, I hope.

So, I was at De Molen (in the Dutch town of Bodegraven) the other day ... And among some of their outstanding classics I picked up a couple of IPA's. Maybe not as outstanding compared to their dark beers, but this Koel & Krachtig is definitely not bad at all.
Good idea they use cans now for their IPA's I guess.

Experimental IPA from Half Acre. Lots of NZ hops.

 

Ghost in the Laboratory is Equilibrium’s version of a Parish Brewing DIPA, Ghost in the Machine. Tasty and fresh, Cheers!

 

Had a Ghost in the Machine yesterday after work. Massive Citra hops display.

 

Another Three Taverns Beeps to keep hydrated...well that and alternating water. I'm no dummy.

 

Rare midday beer for me, but got my work done this morning, along with a short run and some weights.

All systems go, local half-marathon at the end of September as a good near-goal - wise to keep me off ultrasignup so I don't immediately sign up for more stoopid.
