Beautiful shot as always. Still dark when I head to the basement server area at work each day. Soon it will be dark when I come home too. Enjoy autumn while it lasts. Cheers.

I miss SNPA, wasn’t until my 9th day before I finally enjoyed one here. Hard to find under 3-4 months in Chicago, the cans I found prior to yesterday here were 7 months old. Did come across a few Hazy Little Thing taps, but not for me.

Hope you can get a few solid PA / IPA options back out to you / France soon.

Thanks for passing this best news possible (Tom and family are fine beyond lack of utilities). Hope all of our other BAs are doing OK in the impacted regions.

Final day of 100 F temps for me, as I head back to Chicago this afternoon. Should be joining my brother for a pour or two before a ride to the airport.

Saved this as my final room beer, once again courtesy of @DTLVTOUR . Blow it up!

I definitely can find some decent enough Pale ales and IPAs around but there’s something about Sierra Nevada, its piney notes that I love and we also got naturally mostly few months old bottles. It’s a beer that hold up well IMO.

Seems like you thoroughly enjoyed Vegas btw, haven’t heard anything awful about Chicago or Illinois beside the horrid winters… cheers.

La Cumbre Brewing Co. -- Project Dank - Earth Edition

    4.03/5 rDev 0%
    look: 4 | smell: 4 | taste: 4 | feel: 4.25 | overall: 4

Clear, golden body; dense and lively carbonation; nice head, white, 1 1/2 fingers thick and lasting. Pleasant aroma; mildly grass-like, herbal and spicy. The flavor plays off the aroma; more intense hop spiciness with elements of pine resin and citrus pith; delicate malt base. Medium body; crisp with a modest palate raspiness; lightly dry overall.

One can always count on certain aspects of La Cumbre's 'Project Dank' beers: always a 7.5% ABV and an overall fine India pale ale beer regardless of hops used. They consider this series an ongoing experimental IPA project. This edition utilizes Mosaic, Meridian, and Citrus hops, all to good effect.

...made a great beer haul this morning (this is one of the beers)...got some garlic bulbs to plant later this month or perhaps in November and also have been tasked by Mrs. BeerGoot to make tonight's pot roast while she works on a yard sign and neighborhood handouts for out 'Mostly Annual Neighborhood Chili Cook-Off' that we host, nearly every year, in late October...so, while pondering my tasks and obligations within the hallowed hall of 'The Fortress of Solitude', this beer and auxiliary vice are working their magic to put me in the mood to be, well, sort of productive...once I finish things in the 'Fortress'...whenever that time happens...which I'm contemplating at this moment...but thinking there's no rush for anything...:sunglasses:

I found this one in the "budget local beer" section of the beer store.
It was cheap and 6.5% alcohol. I wasn't expecting much at all, being from the makers of IC. Light in Pittsburgh, PA.
Surprisingly enough, this is actually a pretty damn solid Fest-style beer. I am pleasantly amazed at how good it is. I'm going back for another 15pk. I think it was less than 20 bucks, but don't recall the exact cost.

...great percussion work...is this Nigerian music...???...that or it's a sound of South Africa...

    +++++++++++++++++++++++

...late note: looked him up on Wikipedia: South African...listening to a cut entitled 'Many Years Ago'...I definitely get the mbunga music sound, something like Mahlateni and The Mahotella Queens...slower paced than the Mahlateni and the Queens...

...had the pleasure of seeing Mahlateni as well as the Mahotella Queens on separate occasions while living near Washington DC back in the early 90s...have tons of South African and Nigerian music (primarily) from the 60s and 70s...

This cat got thrown in prison for his poetry readings & performance art so he's edgy in Zulu as well. South African. Bought the lp new in 1988. Very cool drums/rhythms throughout the record.
