Well, one beer didn't clear up a whole lot, so doubling down with a higher ABV beer and a wee pour of Islay Scotch.


Raisin date malty sweet goodness, and the Scotch, while smoky, also has a vinuous sweetness that pairs ok. The Scotch does need to follow the beer, though, as Samichlaus' opening sweetness buries most of the Ardbeg (though the peat threads through to the end).

 

Nectaron Pseudo Sue. @GreenBayBA, I was completely gutted, but shame on me for thinking this year would be different. That was right there with the greatest Wisconsin sports letdowns of all time–2018 NLCS, 4th and 26, Badgers 2015 National Championship bid, 2015 NFC Championship game… I could of course go on. This is the part of fandom that really hurts, but the payoff is the rare moments of glory. What an emotional roller coaster. I guess that’s what keeps us going. Cheers, Micah!

Six Flags Great America Gurnee, Illinois tomorrow. Nervous as hell because I hate heights but I really want to ride roller coasters so I have to get over it. I have never been to Six Flags or on a roller coaster before. The Raging Bull is calling. Just ordered pizza for me and the lady cheers!
