3 Floyd’s Crushing Mass (Imperial Stout with Dark Matter coffee aged in Willet barrels). Watching the Bears game. I don’t mind the early start. Delicious morning beer.

 

Good morning, BAs. Booze for Breakfast from Eagle Park, a BA Stout with Coffee Beans, Vermont Maple Syrup, & Madagascar Vanilla aged in Heaven Hill and Willet barrels. Tending to my pork butt and listening to pregame chatter. Cheers, all!

Good day BAs! Mrs. Lizard just told me that it's Sunday, not Saturday, so I missed this week's edition of "Noir Alley". Senility's a bitch! No New Breakfast Beer again - just cleaning out the reefer:



Hoppin Frog's "Hausers's Heat of the Moment" porter with cinnamon, chocolate, and peppers - aging nicely. I'll pick up some more this week when I head to Akron. At 12% ABV, I'd consider this a stout, but whatever.

 

De Garde The Lily (Aged in oak wine barrels with Tempranillo grapes). Funk, purple grape juice and skin, minerality, oak tannin, lemon zest. Excellent stuff as expected from these guys.

Hello BAs. Still the weekend here in MN, USA so I 'll take a shot at one of two new beers. They are powerful. The "slap my ass and call me Sally" kinda beers. A Quad IPA at 12% and a Cask Imp Stout at 13%. Hubba Hubba. Anyway, I saw @defunksta enjoying said Quad in a post so I grabbed a can and 3 slots across was the Islay Cask Imp Stout. Almost skipped on it but shelled out $8.99. Single Malt Scotch was my thing for a number of years and I recall when a drop called Ardbeg came onto the scene here regionally. Peat, peat smoke, sea spray, wood, astringent, and can be akin to Bandaid aroma and or taste. I dig it a lot neat or cut. <> Too damn cool and windy outside to fully enjoy doing a review of either so my lil' bar, El Kabong, will be the office. Been up since 4am so ready for suds. Cheers!
