Overindulge Saturday recovery continues with a “Super Massive Cafe Deth” from Revolution:



Canned 4/24/24. Poured at 52°. Coffee, coffee, coffee! Bourbon and chocolate take a back seat still after 6 months. If you like BBA Imperial Stouts that smell/taste like coffee, this beer is for you. Cheers y’all!

1) Tucher Brau Festbier (5.8%): A German Festbier with flavors of earthy Munich malts, bread, and yeast
versus
2) Weihenstephaner Festbier (5.8%): A German Festbier with flavors of pale malt, smooth honey, cereal, pale Munich malts. Smooth. (Correctly matched the two beers blind)

Winner: Tucher Brau Festbier
German Festbier Battle. First is Tucher Brau. Bready, and earthy Munich malts. Complex and dynamic.
Next is Weihenstephaner. A bit more sweet honey and floral notes. Slightly sweeter.
Slight edge to Tucher for the dry and clean finish.

The wife made bison stuffed shells for lunch, very good, with some farmers market sourdough bread! I paired a couple Celebrations with them for good measure.
