Sierra Nevada Celebration is as brilliant as ever.

1) Warsteiner Brewer’s Gold (5.2%): A Kellerbier with flavors of complex yeast and earthy caramel flavors. Dry.
versus
2) Hofbräu Oktoberfestbier (6.3%): A German Festbier with flavors of earthy pale Munich malts. Smooth bready notes. (Correctly matched the two beers blind)

Kellerbier vs Festbier Battle. First is Warsteiner. Smooth yeast and earthy caramel notes while still drinking dry. Excellent and dynamic complexity in a lager.
Next is Hofbrau Oktoberfest. Slightly more pale malt and honey flavors here. Slightly sweeter. Enjoying both, but the Kellerbier is always one of my favorite beer styles. This one is outstanding as well.
Winner: Warsteiner Brewer's Gold

Hop Butcher for the World Green Moss. This beer is creamy and slightly sweet. It is delightful! Lindsey Stirling was announced as the halftime performer for the Thanksgiving game at Lambeau Field, which I am going to. I am very excited to see her perform!

 

First time having this one in a few years!

 

We’re at Stony Point Brewing Company in Haverstraw, NY. First visit. Nice, friendly place. I’m starting with Crickettown Cream Ale. This style brings back fun memories and Upstate New York brewers excel at it. Cheers!

Pregaming with some Fuller's London Pride. It has been a couple years since I've had a LP. What a nice beer! Has those signature fruity esters (apples to my nose), malty backbone and spicy earthy hops aroma. All but disappeared from the shelves around me the last few years but started seeing again. A real classic. Cheers!

This is Pernicious from Wicked Weed, a world class (IMHO) WCIPA that I SOOOOO prefer to the Perni Haze hazy iteration of this beer that I tried earlier this week in Marco. Absolutely love it.

Wisconsin deers are typically friendly, so approaching them is quite common. But that herd of elk was an entirely different story. Never again.

 

Helen Hazy, a citrus-forward Pale Ale, at Stony Point Brewing. I’m impressed!
