It says that it's English Stout, but the flavor and the body is of a Schwartzbier. It's just plain like a dark lager.

No work today due to this shitty weather. Stay warm, and stay thirsty. Cheers BA

Who wouldn't love a '11 Doggie Claws while shoveling out?

Would really like to try this beer! Do you think its better than BCBS or BCBBW? They are the only two I have to compare it against.

Well, can't really compare it to those two. The Backyard Rye is aged in Templeton barrels w/ three different berries. It's a totally different drinking experience than that of BCBS and BCBBW. I absolutely love BCBS and BCBBW, and am always in the mood for either one. (If available) Backyard is a beer that I'd prefer to split with a friend or enjoy after dinner or on a special occasion. It's a wonderful beer, but a little bit goes along way IMO. Cheers.

welp, since I managed to go flying down my ice-covered front steps last night, I took yet one more day to pull my sh*t together before returning to work. which of course meant that I could take a trip up to Cable Beverage and come home with some new tasties, including taking a shot at a 32oz. growler full of Rushing Duck Yeasayer Triple Pale Ale.

It's BOOZY - I think I could light my burps on fire. But I have to say, my initial reaction was "oh god how will I even drink 2 glasses of this?" but as it warms, it's pretty dang tasty. it went very nicely with my roast beef & cheddar on sourdough late lunch. Cheers BAers, stay warm!

By FAR the best peanut butter beer I've had. It's incorporated perfectly!

Drinking local this evening. This might not be Heady, Pliny or Double Sunshine. Yet this beer is drinking nicely! If you like earthy, spicy and tropical hops with a balanced malt body. Then this is worthy of your time.

I love Porters. I love this one...clearly not as sublime as our local Hill Farmstead porters  , but c'mon...it's so delicious! I heart the label heart. It's well placed. Rock on Michigan! Rock on Founders.
