Hey, all. Took a little dry week for no real reason, and ending it today with a Port City Long Black Veil.


Our (mostly the GF's) girl cat was found to have a tumor behind her eye yesterday - something the normal vet and we did not know as we tried to treat as a lesser eye issue. The good news is that we still have two cats. The less than ideal news is that we have one less cat eye in the house.

She is quietly recovering and disliking the administration of medicine, about like I think I would be if I had no clue what the hell just happened to me. Someone may be getting a kitty eye patch for Christmas.

 

One of my favorite variants of this beer.

Happy Friday BAs! Today I'm drinking Ducks from Burdock in Toronto. Just a really solid hazy IPA all around, but maybe that's my pro-fowl bias on display. Cheers!

 

A beer that has been around for over 29 years. Still tasty to me.

Thanks @ChicagoJ for thinking of me yesterday. How bad are the Bruins that if you get beat by them your coach gets fired. Everything went well yesterday, in fact I got a compliment from the discharge nurse. She said I had a cute hemorrhoid. Cheers!

8.6 Original Intense Blond Beer (produced by Bavaria, Netherlands).
Blond version of the infamous Euro lager ('value for money beer', with more alcohol by vol. some get to 12%). Not great, but a Friday kind of beer in a good way.

This the quintessential WCIPA to me . Enjoying one this early afternoon in warm sunshine on the back porch. $10.99 a sixer at Safeway with CO 11/07, hard to beat this for the style ,price and taste.

 

It looks a little lonely out there. Hopefully you'll have a few more of its friends over soon.

 

Weather is looking mighty fine.
