Can I Pleo It? by DEYA Brewing Company.

Citra, Superdelic and Motueka hopped pale. All the empties are not ours! good timing, just managed to get the sofa.

 

Lunch is a Boar's Head Sausalito turkey sandwich with a Trillium Fort Point pale ale. It's 79 and mostly sunny so some time in the chair is happening.....

So you may ask yourself…que music…same as it ever was…what follows a 21.11% BBA stout…same as it ever was…water flowing under ground…same as it ever was…letting the days go by… a TIPA 10.5% Permanent Funeral:

1) Tucher Brau Festbier (5.8%): A German Festbier with flavors of smooth, earthy Munich malt, smooth honey and yeast. Balanced and smooth.
versus
2) Hofbräu Oktoberfestbier (6.3%): A German Festbier with flavors of pale malts, smooth bread, earthy honey and some earthy Munich malt flavors. (Correctly matched the two beers blind)

German Festbier Battle. I'm going to start saving these for the Spring time when they also drink great seasonally. First is Tucher Brau. One of the best. Balanced earthy Munich malts and yeast flavors. Rounded and balanced. Next is Hofbrau. A bit larger ABV. Stronger aromas and slightly more flavor at the expense of the higher ABV. These are two of the best. Slight edge to Tucher Brau for the lower ABV.
Winner: Tucher Brau.

I am perfectly content with drinking beer and watching football, but will probably go to the movies with the rest of the crew.
