This is my go to pint whenever I see it on cask when I'm out. If you're really lucky, you'll find somewhere selling from from the brandy or whiskey wooden casks.

From outta my cellar, an oldie but a goodie - Hunahpu’s Imperial Stout (2021 Lottery), 750ml, Cigar City:



Bottled 2/26/21. On-line Lottery winner, I picked up bottles at the brewery during Tampa Bay Beer Week March 2021 (COVID was still kinda a thing…). #properglassware Poured at 52°. Cinnamon is front and center, nose/tongue. Some heat from peppers. Otherwise, base and barrel flavors take a backseat to the spicier adjuncts. The beer is tasty almost 4 years out with no oxidation and I can’t tell if mouth warmth is from the 11.8%, the chillies, or both.

Busy morning so far…I paid a bunch of money to get rid of squirrels in the attic last December, and I heard noises this morning. Pained to clear the master closet this morning to get to ceiling door, then set baited trap in attic. At least I got the ladder work done before drinking more beer

'18 Taft's Brewing Company Vanilla Cinnamon Big Silky. This beer was a collaboration with Brink Brewing Company.

I aged this beer unintentionally...I figured it's finally time to drink it since Taft's just closed their last location and sold the brand.

The usual plan for my wife and I on New Year's eve is to watch "An Affair to Remember" and "When Harry Met Sally." We made it to midnight last year, let's see if we can repeat.

Howdy Advocates! How is everyone on this final day of 2024? It's a beautiful sunny 63°F here in N. GA. One of the nice things about Georgia is, we do get winter but some nice days like today get spinkled in though to March. Enjoying one of my favor import Saisons IV by Brasserie de Jandrain-Jandrenouille. Just a simple, lighter spicy Saison with elegant fruity esters in it. Just savoring it. Man am I going to be bummed if I can get this anymore. The local package store had a bunch of it and I think I've been the only one buying it. Good for me! Cheers and Happy NYE to all!

 

I definitely try it when I see it on cask (that will probably be when in the UK). Love cask ales.

This bottle I found in Lillehammer at the Vinmonopolet (state run drinks store). Prices in Norway are insane (the more alcohol in a drink, the more tax), but they do have a different selection compared to most shops in the rest of Europe. I even see Dutch beers here that are rather hard to find at home

New Dark Ages by Black Iris Brewery.

A black IPA with a rather lowly ABV of 4.4%, still very nice though.
