Final impression and summation: 3.75 (After deducting 0.25 point for an undated personal container) In this one, passionfruit is actually tastable. Guava and orange are well balanced and do not dominate the flavor. Very refreshing.

Chaos & confusion! So, my understanding is the new thread starts at 7pm EST for me in Atlanta. Hmmm. I normally don't kick my BA day off until around 5pm. I'll get an extra day of drinking in by my backassward clock.

Sierra Nevada Pale Ale 5.6%. So good. A lot of times beers that I drank a lot of in the early 2000's and 20-teens just don't hit the same. This still consistently tastes like It's supposed to. Very fresh. Full of hop, malt, and yeast flavor. Better feel to it than the cheap lagers I've been drinking. I'm a fan of Sierra Nevada. I'm going to get more. I like it.

I really enjoyed the past four years helping to open this thread (118 times of my 194 BA threads). I will miss @Shanex ‘s regular opens, and more recently @MadMadMike also kicking things off in France, plus the traditional @dcotom Christmas threads. I will miss our relatively quiet time while most of the BA world was either asleep or beginning their workday in Europe.

Glad more folks in our community can now open this thread. Still believe 17:00 BA / GMT Time makes most sense to also encourage European participation (Happy Hour London vs. midnight). That said, sounds like 0:00 is easier to remember & implement, so this universal change previously implemented last year for NBW/NBS works here as well.

I'm back with a delicious Black Lager by Great Raft from Shreveport LA. Roasty, malty sweet, light coffee and smoke, some..licorice. Overall, very enjoyable.
