What Beer Are You Drinking Now? #4505

We got out of work at 11am today for the weather, and no work tomorrow. There's a lot of ice on the ground and temperatures will stay below zero until Friday. Time for a big Cellaruary beer!

 

I have not had that beer in honestly 30 years...How is it? Rather sweet and strong as I remember

 

Regrettably their is no longer a distributor of that beer in CT. When it was here it was always a struggle to get fresh but man was it good...loved that beer

Alrighty! I’m getting BIG notes of cream, cinnamon, vanilla, and a malty breadiness that’s been modified by the adjuncts to create this fruity pastry flavour that’s just glorious. Seriously tastes like horchata. I get a slight minerality (once the flavours subside) while typing between sips.

Mouthfeel is to be expected for a cream ale. Slightly fuller than usual but other than that she’s crispy as a MUTHA with nothing out of the ordinary going on.

The nose is similar to the tasting notes but slightly less interesting, far more concentrated, aroma of green apple, cinnamon, and this milky sweet pastry. Basically as much as this tastes like horchata, the beer factor makes it taste and smell more like apple pie in a great way.

In the end this is a killer beer that totally surprised me. It’s one thing that it’s a great, honest cream ale, but it’s another thing that it delivers on what it says it is and tastes like the delicious beverage it’s based on. I find a lot of beers that claim to taste like something else falling short. This one hits the mark.

Rough day.
Just settled down. Something really strange happened earlier tonight. Just happened to walk outside and the sky is very clear and you can see Venus amd some stars. Well I saw UFOs. I know I'm nuts but trust me I'm the biggest skeptic. This was a line of identical lights all spaced apart the same distance. There had to be like 25. They flew high in the atmosphere then spread. I grabbed my phone but it was dark as heck. Put my phone on night photo. This is one of the pics. Keep in mind the shutter stays open longer in night mode. These lights were completely in a straight line all flying the same rate.

 

Telework tomorrow, but I will probably pull some big gun out after this first beer

Hard to imagine that with the inconceivable amount of space that we are some how the only intelligent (sort of) form of life that developed
