    Good morning,
this is an INDUSTRIAL Czech dark Lager, which I drank last night as soon as I got back from the Olkimpico Stadium for the Monday night game (As Roma - Monza 4-0).

Birra Peroni, Asahi Group (main office in Roma, ITA) - KOZEL DARK LAGER - Industrial Czech Dark Lager (3,5%).

Produced by Birra Peroni (the largest Italian industrial beer factory acquired by the Asahi group in 2016) with this different brand, but the substance is more or less the same.
The only thing is that this "style" is not very common among Italian industrial proposals, usually people tend towards anonymous Lagers (often with corn as the predominant cereal) or fake "Crafty" IPAs... In short, all more or less specular marketing gimmicks.
I bought 4 bottles of Kozel (2 Lagers and 2 Dark Lagers) because they were giving away a pair of mugs (these ones are rather nice) and for a supermarket price (about €2.34 per bottle), I bought them mainly to get the free mugs.
The beer, as mentioned, is industrial in nature: the toasted notes are barely hinted at, very "watery", standard "industrial" fizziness, beer that makes you think little and that you drink without being remembered.
Very low alcohol content, watery body, toasted notes kept largely under control, missing more caramel and licorice notes... evidently they would have given it a character that would have made the occasional drinker think too much.
Of Czech Dark Lager there is only the color and the name on the label: it seems like a watered down Dark Lager.
Classic industrial product with communication bordering on the misleading (advertising with a village of the Czech Republic... they make the beer in Bario or Padua or Rome, in short in one of the Birra Peroni factories), a few more characterizations compared to a standard industrial Lager, but certainly not a product that enriches the offer of large-scale distribution in terms of beer.
We could have also not written anything about this beer, but writing about what we like is easier... So as far as I'm concerned, two words should always be said, even about what we didn't like.
Then obviously everyone has to do what they feel.

Fun catching up with the Monday thread.

Thanks for the Baseball Project suggestions @thebeers and @Blogjackets , also digged your Black Label selection.

Also enjoyed the tunes @LarryV and your excellent shower installation updates @tasterschoice62 .

Four days left of Cellaruary. My take linked here. It cellared well, though sweeter than I prefer for a quad.

Got a whopping 3 hrs of sleep before the AC repair crew of 3 arrived at 8 am to upgrade our system. A 2 day job. I have to make sure they do what they're supposed to do. Non stop fun I tell ya. And in a month we're getting a new roof. Good thing I have loads of fun water. :sunglasses: What a week. Must be perfect weather conditions here for flying as I'm seeing/hearing different classic or collector planes cruising over.
Coffee seemed trite this morning and these beers are occupying the front of the fridge. So to be fair, they go 1st to make way for the other stuff
