What beer are you drinking now? #4540

1) Barrel Theory Rain Drops (7.5% canned 12/17/24): A NEIPA from Minnesota with Mosaic for flavors of orange, grape, tropical berryflower.
versus
2) Toppling Goliath Sosus (8.2% canned 1/22/25): A NEIPA from Iowa with Mosaic for flavors of tropical orange, blueberry, grape, tropical melon with a sweet nectar and berry flower flavor. (Correctly matched the two beers blind)

Barrel Theory vs Toppling Goliath Battle, both featuring the single-hop Mosaic and rated World-Class on BeerAdvocate. Repeating this battle. First is Barrel Theory Rain Drops. Smooth, tropical melon and berryflower, while being clean. Incredibly smooth. Excellent NEIPA.
Next is Toppling Goliath Sosus. Orange, tangerine, some tropical berries and pine. Has a bit of a bite, not quite a hazy IPA. It's good, but not sure about World-Class and not my favorite from Toppling Goliath. Barrel Theory is making some great stuff lately and getting the win here.

An easy drinking hazy lite with Rakau, Citra, Motueka & Galaxy. Mild citrus and tropical fruit hop flavors. I buy this beer every time it pops up on Tavour. Cheers y’all!

Good afternoon, all! Another one from the Untitled Art NA variety pack: American Gold. 35 calories, 6 g carbs, dirty glass. Checks all the buttons. I tapped the bubbles off a couple of times but they came back too fast. Cheers!

Clever Girl. An IPA brewed by Triple Crossing.

The brewery is now apparently distributing it to at least Total Wine. The TW store closet to me was sold out but I managed to get a couple of four packs at a different TW store not too much further away. At any rare, hallelujah! I don’t have to drive to the brewery about thirty plus minutes away to get it anymore.

 

Haha! I like a lot of head. With both beer and women.

 

Modist Blueberry Second Breffix Imperial Breakfast Stout, 10% ABV. Pours thin and black with a nice two-finger medium-brown head that left lots of lacing. Aroma is blueberry, coffee, and maple syrup. Taste is tart blueberry, maple, and coffee, faintly sweet, slightly bitter. Creamy mouthfeel (has oat milk), overall very good.

I need to clear out the fridge for an out of state beer run this weekend, stopping at Kros Strain in Omaha. Should have gotten down there sooner, they only have one type of Barrelywine left. Need to get down there in early February next year to get all the variants.

 

Found an IPA to try. Not bad not great but rather drinkable.
