This one is aggressive.

 

Stone IPA (6.9% canned 1/27/2025): A West-Coast IPA with flavors of bitter lemon, apricot, orange, and resinous pine.

Self explanatory. Palate-wrecking Sunday.

 

I think we have had 7 different seasons in one day. Sun then rain then Arctic wind then sun, then overcast darkness, then rain. This is what happens when you are in the literal middle of the Atlantic.

What's even more funny is that this is totally not an American IPA but a British one. The lines between styles are very blurry and it shows.

Learned a lot more under the radar details about historical presidents, plus more since they protected the people who were in campaigns for election too.

Hi-Wire Easy Pitch IPA. canned on 5/5/2022, but been in my fridge for over 2 years. Fantastic head retention and lacing. Aromas and flavors of big red grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, mango, melon, berries, citrus zest,cedar, peppercorn, pine, wheat, cracker, white bread, herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Light-medium pine, herbal, woody, spicy bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation, light body, and crisp/clean/refreshing finish. Balanced bready/grainy malt and sticky hop mouthfeel. Nearly bone dry finish with no lingering resins. Outstanding for a session IPA, no aggressive bitterness. Vibrant Citra and Cashmere hop flavors with a clean malt backbone. 4.18/5

This is such a tasty IPA. A super tasty hoppy ale by a great brewery, one of only a handful in Europe that have a woman as their head brewer. Thumbs up, Azores.
