Bottom line, this is just too boozy, and the greatest departure between the base beers I love and the "special versions" which to me are typically slightly less enjoyable. Can't beat Ryeway to Heaven, this one is Barrels over Niagara.

Good day BAs! Thanks @Shanex for opening the bar! I need a drink since Mrs. Lizard and I are joining future inlaws for an unknown meal without knowing how anybody to be present celebrates (if they do). Hopefully yesterday's Saurkraut und Speck won't make an appearance - maybe they'll have a dog or two to blame it on.

Today's New Breakfast Beer:


Negation (Ghost Negation) from Adroit Theory. Received from their webstore 25/03/25. 16 fl oz can, $ 6.50 (Including tax)/ $ 0.406/fl oz. Reviewed 20/04/25 (Review 3509). Note that I use DD/MM/YY protocol.
Final impression and summation: 4 (After deducting 0.25 point for an undated personal container) Typical unsigned symmetric metal label art. This is a good but not outstanding take on the Russian Imperial Stout. Roast malt, coffee, hints of dark fruit, beginning slightly bitter and ending slightly sweet.

Happy Easter Sunday to all. I drove up to Independence Ohio for the night in a hotel because my Sisters house has nowhere to sleep. I passed out last night and missed my Uncle's 61 birthday party, but we will have a good early dinner at Galaxy Wadsworth at 12:45PM. I will have to see what's new on the draft list. I had a nice big brunch with the in laws after visiting Somewhere in Particular brewing in Columbus yesterday. Our Hotel room doesn't have a fridge, but I kept all the beer in a hot/cold bag all night and it is still a bit cold. Super Troopers 2 is on the TV. IFC channel.

Supposed to rain later today so I'll go outdoors, get something done, and have some beer.
Got up and hot-washed my old manky Shroud of Turin with OxiClean and it looks F'n great! so time to re-visit, re-rate, and finally review Samuel Smith's India Ale. Enjoy by date 31 July, 2025.
I shall momentarily become one with a Yorkshire Square.
