Time to enjoy this after a very busy day, which included a border run bright and early for some Darkness. Not a bad Monday!

Just picked this up to give it a try, and found the glass at goodwill. Pretty good afternoon so far!

Not to fear, dry hopping with too many hops can do that. I have notice that aroma with Citra. This beer is brewed with Falconers Flight which is a hop blend with Citra included. But as for me, this beer's aroma is that of smelling Fresh hops out of the bag.

it wasn't the first "new" DIPA where I got that smell either...fresh growler of Tired Hands Extra Extra Knuckle smelled of almost nothing but dirty socks. both that AND OTWOA were delicious to drink though - and come to think of it, very similar. slightly carbonated grapefruit juice w/ bitter pineapple extract added lol

When Wings warms there is a huge pineapple note that follows both aroma and flavor. I smelled my empty can the next day, it smelled like Del Monte Pineapples in heavy syrup. True Story.

It's been a while since I had a DIPA so I figured I needed one. As far as DIPAs goes this is very well balanced between the malt and the bitterness which keeps it from going overly sweet, but you still get a sense that there's a can of soda hiding beneath that bitter punch and hoppiness. I still prefer the pale ale style, but when DIPAs are delivered like this, I can't help but enjoy it.

Having a Kuhnhenn Forbidden IPA. A double IPA brewed with black rice. This is excellent. Kuhnhenn rules!
