    Cracked open a somewhat rare second home beer to celebrate a White Sox victory. They have one one of three in every home series, and all but two road series.

    This can is seven months and a day old, and at this stage tastes just like I imagine the tears of Brewers fans who were awfully chirpy despite never having the lead and managing two hits over nine innings. Jake Bauers became the third position player to pitch against the White Sox this season, joining Nicky Lopez (when he as on Anaheim) and the Twins' Willi Castro.

    look: 4 | smell: 4.25 | taste: 3.75 | feel: 3.75 | overall: 3.75

    Ultra clear light brown pour, somewhat opaque in the glass; rich, densely sudsy head, very long lasting; nice dense and compact fingers and flecks of foam mark the glass. Incredible aroma; rich toffee tones; moderately sweet undercurrent; roasted grain char; mocha. Good flavor if a tad weak; diluted coffee with fire roasted tree nuts; great overall bitterness, a muted but well-balanced with the other tastes. Medium-heavy mouthfeel; smooth.

    Overall, this is a decent enough Baltic porter, but if it is the little brother to the brewery's other Baltic porter, I'd really like to try that one. I suspect it might be more to the style. But, being a junior version of a Baltic porter (I guess), this is pretty good.

    Drekker That's A Real Nice Ski Mask Dark Lager (Schwarzbier), 5.1% ABV. Pours deep brown/black with a four-finger light-brown head that left abundant lacing. Aroma is roast malt and slight chocolate. Taste is roast malt, moderately bitter. Decent mouthfeel if a bit dry, overall very good.

    Maybe since it looks like a stout I was subconsciously expecting it to taste like one.

    My son and I are trying a gifted beer, this one if Tree House's Emperor Julius. For a Hazy this is great, but needs some bitterness on backend for me to love it!

    #2, out for dinner with Mrs O, this is very fresh Bell’s Two Hearted, the first IPA I ever had a LOOOONG time ago.
