Happy Mom's day to all our BA moms out there. Having a local pale ale at a spot close to the house for a birthday beer and some eats with the little lady. Cheers!

Lol yup that sounds about right, I used to sell these back in my younger years and would hear all kinds of shit happening to people on them. Iv had some crazy nights on them myself. That's awesome tho. I have much respect for the PE genetics. For sure, they've made me think differently to. They don't like shitty living at all and will make you analyze everything you're doing to yourself. I also have some MVP. It's a PE x albino teacher cross. Really solid stuff.

    1) Arbeiter Figurati (5.2%): An Italian Pilsner with flavors of bright lemon, flower, and dank pine.
    versus
    2) Fair State Pilsner (5.1%): A German Pils from Minnesota with flavors of lemongrass, yeast, and dry flower. Bitter finish. (Correctly matched the two beers blind)

Breaking out into the warmer weather with the first Pilsner battle of the year. Italian vs. German Pils battle. First is Arbeiter Figurati. Tons of lemon, flower, and dank grass. Extremely hoppy and moderately bitter. Not a huge fan of the hoppy lagers, but this actually drinks quite well with the bitterness and malt body to match. Smooth, hoppy, and enjoyable.
Next is Fair State Pils, the GOAT. Unfortunately my palate was wrecked after trying the Figurati first. Still excellent floral and pine notes. Moderately bitter, but obviously not as hoppy.
Fair State remains the GOAT, but finally an enjoyable hoppy Italian Pils from Arbeiter.
    Winner: Fair State Pils

It is Illinois Craft Beer Week and I found a passport. Last year I turned in a passport with over 50 distinct stops at breweries. In response, I received the experience of having visited over 50 Illinois breweries:nerd:
Some of them were new to me, so there is that.
Apparently there is a drawing for gift cards. Hopefully someone won something. I have similar hopes for this year. Visiting multiple breweries is the goal for me, but a little something would be nice. 193 possible locations this year: I may get to 50 again. We'll see.

    G'afternoon BA's!

The wife has to work on Mother's Day, so I'm just sitting out front finishing up reading It and sipping on this bad boy from my home state of PA, courtesy of PA homie @jzeilinger

Suggested best by was 11/14/21. It does have some dregs, but it tastes fine to me!

After some post-brunch fireside adult coloring book relaxation (with wine), I decided to keep the fire going. It’s been lovely. Seems like a good excuse to open up some HotD Don, courtesy of @Bishop .

@VABA Wait WHAT? Ok, we often have the same beer on the same day, but that’s mostly Sip of Sunshine. But MF’in’ DON? That’s a crazy fucking coincidence. Cheers, man!
