    From a 12oz can. Best by September 13, 2025

This beer has a murky look to it and has a darker golden color to it. There's a thick and fluffy looking white head to this beer - 3 finger. The head retention is quite good and there's a decent amount of lacing on the glass.
The beer has just a ton of malt on the nose. I get a beautiful cereal grain aroma to this beer. There's a slight roasted aroma to the malts.
Taste - Malts, upon malts in this beer. I am getting a full on cereal hit from this beer. I am getting a honey like sweetness to the flavor. I am getting a bit of a biscuit flavor. There's a bit of hops on the finish to add a nice bitterness to it. I also get hints of a floral like element to this beer.
The body is very full feeling for the style. It is very smooth overall.
Wow, this is quite tasty. This beer has a lot going on with the malts in a good way.

    1) Žatecký Světlý Ležák (5.0%): A Czech Pale Lager with flavors of pale malts, lemon, and a tart yeast. Clean.
    versus
    2) Velkopopovický Kozel Ležák (4.6%): A Czech Pilsner with flavors of lemon, smooth, buttery bread.(Correctly matched the two beers blind)

Czech Lager Battle. Never tried either of these, but got some distro to Minnesota so picked a couple up. I know @LesDewitt4beer has recently tried these as well. First one has some bright lemon, even some tart yeast notes. Clean and yeasty.
Next one has more familiar Czech Pils flavors. Buttery bready and lemon. Smooth. Seems similar to Urquell, but likely less bitter. Will do that battle sometime as well. I like this one though.
    Winner: Velkopopovický Kozel Ležák

    1) BlackStack DDH Spongebath (8.5% no canning date): A NEIPA from Minnesota with Citra Cryo, Mosaic, Cashmere Cryo & Strata for flavors of bright orange, grapefruit, sweet pineapple, and juicy mango.
    versus
    2) BlackStack KPIs (8.3% no canning date): A NEIPA from Minnesota with HBC 602 Nectaron for flavors of lemon, bright pineapple, grapefruit, white grape, and mango. (Correctly matched the two blind)

BlackStack NEIPA Battle. First is DDH Spongebath, a fresh release from BlackStack. Bright pineapple, mango. Juicy, sweet and tropical. Flavors are popping here. Excellent.
Next is KPIs, a bit older with some New Zealand hops giving it that rich blueberry and bubblegum flavor.
BlackStack is seriously elevating the NEIPA game in The Twin Cities. Both of these are amazing. Spongebath packs so much flavor. In KPIs I could have sworn there was Mosaic in this from the robust blueberry and raspberry flavor. Must be the HBC 602. BlackStack is on another level here.
    Winner: BlackStack KPIs

Mason Ale Works Millenial Falcon WCIPA.

This is advertised on can as WCIPA... with Citra and Mosaic. If I MUST seek out IPAs because brewers stop brewing (new) strong/dark beer during the summer, if you advertise WCIPA, I want the beer to strip the enamel from my teeth. However, its my fault... the Citra/Mosaic should have clued me in. But... Mason... just because a beer is clear doesn't make it a westie.
