I ended up having different beers yesterday than I had figured (the ones from Bitburger and Cameron's) because of the weekly (usually every Thursday) outing of my Responsible Beer Drinking Club (since August 2016!)... more on that in my next post! [IMG] Today, after my work in nearby Windsor at The Downtown Mission, it'll be my firsts from two European breweries: First, the aforementioned, procrastinated-upon 4.8% Bitburger Premium Pils (from Bitburg, Germany), and second, the 8.5% Delirium Tremens from Melle, Belgium...

I get nervous having bottles in my beer collection. I don't even like transporting them, because no matter how careful one is, anything can happen...so I've decided to drink one of my bottled beers each day, to simply have cans around. The beers bookend a photo of Canadian classical pianist (a nod to my violinist lady Pamela) Glenn Gould. Cheers from McGregor, Ontario! =)

Happy 4th to those celebrating it!

Out for a few beers and a picnic on a day off with the wife.

Leading my Responsible Beer Drinking Club (since August 2016!) on our weekly outing yesterday, I did the North Central Windsor Trifecta: We went to Walkerville Brewery, where I simply bought the two new beers they had, since our last visit, to bring home for my collection; then to Chapter Two Brewing Company, where I had a pint of their new 3% Ginger Ale (It's by far the most delicious hard ginger beer I've ever had, and one would think it was easily 5 or 6%). Pictured with one of their Ugly Christmas Sweaters...

There was a wonderful wooden wall sign (I love collecting especially those, clothing and glassware from breweries I admire), and when I told the bartender Mikaela I really liked it, she told me she had in fact made it. So, I asked if I could take a photo of them together...

...and this is my flight at The Cookie Bar, all from Ontario breweries: My third from Niagara Falls' Counterpart Brewing, their 5.2% Snake Eyes Hazy Pale Ale; my sixth from Kingston's Fine Balance Brewing, their 5.4% Raspberry Lavender Gelato Sour; my fourth from Prince Edward's Slake Brewing, their 5% Wendy Barrel Aged Saison; and my second from Toronto's True History Brewing, their 5% There's Always Money in the Banana Stand Hefeweizen...

Cheers, from McGregor, Ontario...and a Happy Fourth of July to those of you from Stateside! =)

Massively overripe peach flavours going on. Bit sweet for me but I'll struggle on!

Happy 4th all!! Perfect day for an early beer, a Little Willow Beachcomber DDH NEIPA. I haven't met a Little Willow yet that I didn't like.

Barney Kessel (The Wrecking Crew) actually played the guitar in this classic video. Barney's dance stole the scene

Amalfi Lemon Cake by Double Barrelled.

Solid sour, I was expecting more sour as it's lemon but still very nice.
