Was up early with no intention of a beer this early. Pulled this The Veil Master Shredder and it opened a little. @vabeerguy

Took it as sign from the universe, down here on the beach in Kill Devil Hills on breezy sunrise vibe!

    Very nice beer

Good beer! Great vacation spot! Hit the OBX Brewing Station or Stella’s Brewing?

Hey there. Yet another crazy weather day here. Unpredictable storms. Dish washing machine-style rain overnight. It makes me wonder...

Good day BAs! Thanks @FRANKHAZE for opening the thread!

Off to a sunny start - will mow later. Got hot peppers out the wazoo - but only male flowers on my zukes. Tomatoes are coming on. Today's (almost) New Breakfast Beer:

Double Rajah from The Brew Kettle. Six pack of 12 fl oz cans, picked up at the brewpub, 21/07/25, $ 12.83 (Including tax)/$ 0.178 per fl oz. Reviewed 23/07/25 (Review 3552).
Final impression and summation: 4 (After deducting 0.25 point for an undated can) Uncredited label artist. Excellent brew, but about sold out, so I got one of the last few sixers. I also had it on tap with lunch on 21/07/25 at The Brew Kettle. Getting a bit long in the tooth, but still has a bite.

Yeah - me too - we got caught in a massive downpour driving between Madison and Eau Claire last week. We actually had to pull off the road at one point and wait for the rain to ease up a bit - and what's with these fools who don't turn their lights on when driving in the rain?

If you go into Manteo there is a small brewery there. I wasn’t impressed with it but it was years ago and things change.

Make sure you eat your weight in good seafood while you are there. I am headed to Florida tomorrow to visit my daughter, granddaughter and new grandson. I expect to chow down on some local seafood while there.

Getting passed in the pouring rain by an 18 wheeler going 75mph is about enuf. People are nuts! And boneheads on the interstate with a laptop and 3 phones mounted in front of them...they're not really driving at all. I've seen that shite esp out running.

    G'day all!

I saw the Pabst Blue Ribbon, AB brewed, and had to give it a go. I "think" it has a lesser presence of corn and is on the drier side. Not bad.

    Prost!

Big Axe Splinter Cat IPA. Very EZ drinking.
Feels like it could rain here at any moment. Grass in my back yard is gonna be like a Congolese rain forest in about 3 days...
    Cheers!

Back with Tropical Hopslam, first one for me. I appreciate how Bell's managed to get it to the tropical level without making it a dankness machine.

That kind of makes sense, I know they filmed an episode of Dr Who in the village where this pub is, East Hagbourne. And although this beer is not exclusive to this pub, the Fleur De Lyes, it is named after the pub whippet.
