    Hey all!
First week day off for a very long time. Took the night off for my daughter's band concert tonight. The show must go on even though they have had 4 snow days in a row, so no time to rehearse this week until concert day. Should make for a fun night!
Needless to say we've had a TON of snow lately. Today is the first day of many that I wont have to shovel for an hour and a half to start my day. Look at the cool snow formation! (Bad quality, the screen is frozen shut)

This is also the first time in TOO long that I get to drink with the cool kids in the morning. Lovin it!
    Enjoy your day BA.
    Cheers!

Going to switch to Raging Bitch - Oops - all out. OK, on to Fathead's Head Hunter now and off to the distributor later.

On the nose - The smoke's gone, and the maple aroma is muted.
Taste - The flavors have all blended in. I'm getting a fusion of maple and prune juice on the taste buds. The sweetness is cut a tad by the hops in mid-palate, and the finish is dry.

It was an interesting experiment cellaring this one, but I think it was best when fresh. I suppose anything with maple in it was never meant to be cellared.

Well, it's up to 12 degrees here. And.... Our heat is out. It's 51 inside. Opened this to make it a little warmer..

I bought 4 bottles of Pliny the Elder yesterday so I'm enjoying that. Excellent!

Man... That's my worst fear around here. We've had quite a few single digit highs here lately, I can't imagine losing heat or power. Hope yours comes on soon man! Is it your furnace, or a power issue?
    Enjoy the beer!

A light breakfast after a morning run. Enjoying a 'balmy' morning with temperatures in the 20's. Hang in there gang, the weekend is in sight!

Took the wife and daughter out for a little stroll, to take advantage of the winter weather we never get. It was mostly ice and sleet, very little snow. Supposed to be back in the 70's and Sunny this weekend. These pics are at the Swamp Fox Passage, a 41 mile trail that winds through swamps, woods, and over creeks. Beautiful, lesser known part of the Lowcountry.

After a mile or so hike, you get to the dike of Lake Moultrie. Large manmade lake, some world record catfish caught in here.

Also a fun place to "sled" on cardboard in the ice pellets! Redneck Sledding!!!

Walking back, my daughter's feet were getting cold. Did what any good father would do. Have to take full advantage of these "snow" days.

Enjoyed a local treat afterwards, COAST Blanton's BA Blackbeerd. COAST does an amazing job, with a wide variety of beers. With Westbrook in town, they tend to get less press. That's fine with me though, just means more COAST for us locals! I always try to include them in trades as extras though. Folks who've gotten some COAST beers are always impressed.

    Good morning!
After yesterday's slightly disappointing IPA choice I still needed my hop fix. This one does the job!
