1) Dovetail Pils (4.6%): A German Pilsner from Chicago with flavors of tart yeast, lemon, clean floral notes.
versus
2) Arbeiter HAHA Pils (5.1%): A German Pilsner from Minnesota with flavors of lemon citrus, floral notes, and pale Munich malt. Bitter, floral, and clean. (Correctly matched the two blind)

German Pils Battle. First is Dovetail, who makes some of the best lagers in Chicago. This is my first try at their pilsner. Strong lemon. yeasty, A bit tart, but clean. Still early on so no final impression, but so far it seems alright. Will have to try this one a couple more times in battles for an opinion.
Next is Arbeiter, the best German Pils I know.
Winner: Arbeiter HAHA Pils

A nice local (ish) pumpkin brew - very well done, with real pumpkin (puree, as is typical)...tasty!

 

The wife is taking tomorrow off so we're kicking off her 4 day weekend with a shot of Clase Azul tequila, with my Hazicuz Maximus hazy IPA.

I'm not a huge fan of it either, as much as I love lychees, but just not in my beer.
It's ok, but too fruity for me.
Tastes like carbonated canned lychee juice.
