That Kasteel glass is nice. Now that the emporium sells Kasteel and Donker is my new fave, almost affordable Quad, I may have to hit up the buyer to see if he can score me a glass or two.

 

Tigers on late tonight - wont be able to watch too much of the game. They always play terrible against terrible teams so not expecting a great series.

Starting with a Dip Trippin Modern IPA. Good head retention and lacing. Pale and hazy. Some floral notes with the hops and a light citrus taste. I guess that's what a Modern IPA is. Solid beer.

How's that Bardstown? I haven't seen that one only the regular skinny bottle/colored label Bardstown lineup.

 

Or it could a crappy beer. Or a brain malfunction. Let’s hope for crappy beer root cause.

Nothing but the best for this marzen.

 

Another yellow beer from a recent @Hinda65 trade: Templin Family Albion Tripel. Super vibrant clear yellow. Aroma very subdued. If it was a wild ale I might chalk it up to terroir, maybe a mineral-esque quality. I’m making up descriptions, but that’s my impression. Taste is lightly Belgian-y yeast quality, followed by a light lemon meringue vein, and that slight mineral water quality. The 10% ABV is another head scratcher, in that it drinks like a lightly carbonated NA drink, but it will smack (non)sense into your brain.

 

Dinner is the whackiest name, but agreed that it is a nice (and affordable) quad.
