Happy Saturday BAs! Starting off the long weekend with a White Picket Fence from Bellwoods Brewery. It's a slightly funky, foeder-aged blended saison - a great pick on a warm summer afternoon. Cheers!

 

Beautiful day. We were cutting flowers for a friend's wedding tomorrow. I am now drinking a Weihenstephaner Hefeweissbier. Cheers.

out of the Hop Butcher For The World Chicago Taproom! Known for their NEIPA selections, they do a very good to great job on most other styles you wouldn't necessarily associate with the brewery.

I'm partaking in a Chicago classic brewery, but at home. with a style I usually only pull a few times a year.

Full review linked above, full Labour Day Extended New Beer Weekend #267 treatment linked here. WBAYDN treatment, this is a good marzen, a bit stronger than others at 6.5%, caramel malts, fresh bread, plus hints of honey, citrus and cinnamon to compliment the primary flavors.

Still in baseball mode, I have two days to make up a half point deficit to advance in my deep league (32 team) playoffs. Once I finish, I'll consume White Sox baseball and prepare for my family NHL Fantasy League.

The fact that I just looked up that the more colorful Sox have 26 games left made my old ass a tad tired and wanting the playoffs to start much sooner than they apparently will.

Edit: the only other top 25 game seems to have a near-local team jumping on top of ranked Indiana. The stats people apparently aren't caring, since there are no details. What happened, @jzeilinger?
