Is it possible, for me as a conservative guy, to actually find an attraction to Liberal ladies? Lord help me, that's what's happenin'. Forgive me, they're so cute.

Had a Saint Arnolds Endeavour DIPA after work...a little past its prime, so I had to follow up with something else:

Oak barrel aged English-style barleywine. It has an interesting mild lactic sour note to the nose that oddly doesn't come through at all in the taste. First time having this one, and I'm liking it so far.

    Cheers!

SN Celebration Ale! after a few weeks of Mickey's, High Life and PBR, this is tasting mighty fine. Balance, grasshoppers.

Now, that's a coffee porter! Plus, the label reminds me of the artwork on Slayer's Show No Mercy album.

Glad you enjoy it! However, it's a doppelbock with coffee. Cheers!

Thanks for the correction. I had looked it up when I bought it before, but I had forgotten that.

Prior to this, I had just finished a Bison Gingerbread ale that tasted like a weak porter (Not that it had much of a taste at all.), so I had porter on my mind. And the coffee in this transcends regular dopplebocks.

Certainly one of the better winter warmers out there IMO, and I definitely like the fact hat it isn't an over spiced mess like some in the style.
